Artist Statement and Influences

"Hummingbird"  28" x 22"Artist

Damon Reinagle is an artist who lives in Southern California. His work is illustrative, many times he utilizes symbolism and imagery from his childhood, coupled with nursery rhymes and stories from many sources. His influences range from contemporary graphic artists and graffiti to the likes of Salvador Dali and Yoshitaka Amano.

“My artist's journey has evolved over a long period of exploration. Working  with clay and paint, not really having a favorite medium as creating is all art, no matter what the material. Most fascinating to me is the process and evolution of each piece as I traverse the creative twists and turns that each new work challenges me with.”
